Geshtai - Contest Submission

I was working on a doll, which I'll eventually finish - but in truth, cosplay (or costume play) is more my style. So this is my interpretation.

A few facts: The boots, dress, and jar are bought. I made the leggings and winged shirt. That is a wig and a wig ponytail layered. I did my own makeup inspired by her watery theme - no reference.


About the Goddess (from Siobhan's decription):

Geshtai, minor goddess
Alignment: neutral
Portfolio: rivers, lakes
Domains: plant, travel, water, weather
Fav Weapon: spear
Depicted as a young woman with a clay water jug, Geshtai is revered by farmers who rely on irrigation and river-travelers of all alignments. When rains swell a river to overflowing, almost everyone living on the riverbank pleads with Geshtai for succor. Her clerics preach that the highest good is to live a tranquil existence that drifts inexorably from birth toward death.

How Cronachan sees Geshtai:
To him, Geshtai is the goddess that saved his life, when he was thrown into a mountain river severely wounded. Not only that… she is the goddess of one of the most precious things in Dawarda… fresh water. She is neutral, doesn’t judge him because of WHAT he is. She lets life flow, like a river, around bends and corners, over obstacles. Water always finds a way… That is much like his own point of view. Cronachan often imagines Geshtai as a young human woman with long, brown hair, pouring a river out of a jar. This image is influenced by the girl that saved his life… and whom he left.
